Join the NSCN Board – Application Coming Soon!

In just a few short weeks, the NSCN Board will begin its search for three qualified registrants to sit on the Board. Members of the Board make important decisions in the public’s interest that shape the regulation of the nursing profession and ensure that NSCN meets its mandate of public protection.

In March, registrants will have the opportunity to apply for vacant Board positions and demonstrate how they meet the desired competencies, skills and/or attributes identified by the Nominating Committee. The online application process is simple, user-friendly and designed to meet your technology needs. If you are interested in a Board position, watch for an email from NSCN in early March 2025.

Watch our Board Video to learn more and determine if serving on the NSCN Board is right for you.

Important Information on the 2025 Continuing Competence Program Audit

Each year NSCN randomly audits a predetermined number of nurses to complete the Continuing Competence Program (CCP) audit. The purpose of this verification process is twofold. Firstly, it enables NSCN to verify that you have met the requirements of the CCP. Secondly, it provides the public with the assurance that the nursing profession is committed to continuous learning and growth in an ever-evolving health system. Nurses can be selected to participate in one of two processes:

  • Declaration of Compliance (DOC) Survey - The DOC requires those selected to complete a four-question survey, which indicates that you are in compliance with the CCP expectations.
  • Submission of your Professional Growth Plan – This can be done through the registrant portal here. To learn how to develop and submit the professional growth plan via the portal, visit our CCP Guide for Nurses.

Nurses who were randomly selected to participate in the CCP Audit process received notification via email on February 14, 2025. We ask you to please check your spam/junk folders as well to ensure that you have not missed this email. The audit process must be completed by April 22, 2025.
